Yes, avoid the background , you save the messy back ground works , and make the contrast much much better , so you have the lightest color in the painting -white , and you have a strong color (like the deep red ), that has made the picture very outstanding and brilliant . I think you should adhere to this method of painting for the time being , until you have further sort for good method of painting . I like this painting , great !
